Nasher Sculpture Center

Open since 2003 and located in the heart of the Dallas Arts District, the Nasher Sculpture Center is home to one of the finest collections of modern and contemporary sculptures in the world, the Raymond and Patsy Nasher Collection, featuring more than 300 masterpieces by Calder, de Kooning, di Suvero, Giacometti, Hepworth, Kelly, Matisse, Miró, Moore, Picasso, Rodin, Serra and more. The longtime dream of the late Raymond and Patsy Nasher, the museum was designed by world-renowned architect Renzo Piano in collaboration with landscape architect Peter Walker. The Nasher Sculpture Center presents rotating exhibitions of works from the Nasher family collection as well as special exhibitions drawn from other museums and private collections. In addition to indoor gallery space, the Center contains an auditorium, education and research facilities, a cafe and a store. The Nasher Sculpture Center strives to be a sensory-friendly environment where all visitors can learn and experience modern and contemporary sculpture.

The Nasher Sculpture Center offers a curbless ADA compliant main entrance with buttons located on the left side of the entryway to open the front doors when you arrive. The entire museum is wheelchair accessible. Service animals are welcome at the Nasher. Wheelchairs, seating in the galleries, and portable chairs are available for use upon request at the Admissions Desk. Our garden is also designed to be accessible for visitors with limited mobility. Ramps are available on both sides of the sculpture garden so that guests may see every work on display. The Nasher offers a private space for visitors who may need to attend to personal needs. The quiet room may be requested at any point during your museum visit. To gain access to this room ask any staff member or security guard. On display in the Galleries and Garden are rotating exhibitions of works from the Nasher Collection as well as special exhibitions drawn from other museums and private collections.

In addition to gallery spaces, the Nasher contains an auditorium, education and research facilities, a cafe, and an award-winning store. The Center is also the home of the Nasher Prize, an annual, international award presented to a living artist in recognition of a significant body of work that has had an extraordinary impact on the understanding of sculpture.
